- Find the girl that has caught your eye who you wish to dance with. Make sure she does not have a boyfriend and be on the lookout for any other guys that may have an interest in her also. Try to get a signal off her that she wants to dance, for example, eye contact.
- Start to dance behind her but not too close give her some space don’t crowd her. However coming from behind can be kind of creepy so face to face will have better chances of success.
- If she likes you she will start dancing to the music with you bumping, winding and grinding etc. She might also turn around to face you. The touching culture can vary in different countries. In Asia, usually it is not a good idea to put your hands on a girl unless she shows a great interest in you. You may totally screw your chances if you touch. The best way to test boundaries would be to put your hands near her hips and moving with her (like as if there’s an invisible barrier.) If she does not edge away then you can move on to put your hands on her hips. If she dances away from your hand then please keep your hands to yourself and stay satisfied just by dancing with her. She will appreciate this. Some girls are just not into touching, and by not coming on to her like normal guys you will leave a good impression and have more chances of getting to know her later.
- (this happens when a girl shows interest in you back) Keep dancing and if the music playing is a love song, look into her eyes and pay her a compliment. Tell her how pretty she looks, or even better, thank her for giving you the opportunity to dance with her. If the dancing continues into the slow dance she might place her arms around your neck.
